Alternative provision
Testimonals
Wishanger Wild School has been a real lifeline to us as a family over the past year or so. It’s such a wonderfully inclusive and regulating environment which has catered for my pre-school aged son as well as my daughter who has been unable to manage mainstream primary schooling. For an alternative style of learning, equipping with life-skills, confidence-boosting, resilience-building, team-working, super-fun and so many more reasons we would hugely recommend Wishanger Wild School. Our family are hugely grateful - Thank you!- Parent
Its a chance to be themselves in an environment that is fun and supportive. They learn new skills without knowing that they are learning and because of this they grow in confidence. They interact with others and work together co-operatively without the constraints and demands of a classroom. Invaluable! - SENCo
My two boys who have additional needs have gone/ go to wishanger wild school for alternative provision.
This has been a godsend for us as both are on part time timetables at school.
They are able to be themselves, flourish and socialise in a small group with no judgement from the kids or parents that go.
Hannah is amazing with both my children and knows how to interact with them in a caring/nurturing manor. They trust her and go to her if they have any problems.
My children love the forest school as they can make things, use tools, learn how to make fire to toast marshmallows, make dens and just have fun.
My eldest child has pda/asd and finds it hard as he has sensory issues but he goes there and plays with other children and actually plays with mud and gets dirty without stress.
My youngest has asd/adhd and he is like a different child when he is at forest school, he is so calm.
I would highly recommend wishanger wild school to anyone that has children that arnt able to cope in school- Parent
Wishanger has been an absolutely incredible break from school for some of our children who struggle the most. It is a warm and welcoming provision, with a lovely range of activities, where they can feel self and productive. We have used the provision in very small groups 2 or 3, with one adult to enable them to have an afternoon out of the classroom and re-set/rebalance, ready for the next day. Thank you Hannah!- Head Teacher
We offer Alternative Provision for young people who need something different from mainstream education. Our sessions are supportive, flexible, and designed to help build confidence, skills, and a positive path forward.
As our provision is tailored to each student, the cost per course will vary depending on individual needs, support requirements, and programme structure.
If you are interested in the services we provide, whether you are a parent, carer, teacher, or SENCo, we warmly invite you to get in touch for further information.
From September, we will be increasing the number of days we operate in response to the growing level of need.
